Yahoo!’s Achilles’ heel

Posted in internet stories, technology by Aditya Moorthy on November 11, 2009

Yesterday I wrote a post after hearing Yahoo!’s CEO Carol Bartz speak at the AmCham event in Singapore. In it I noted that the biggest problem that Yahoo! faces today is a weakening engineering team (or to its effect) and innovative products. This morning I read this post which says Rasmus Lerdoff the founder of PHP has left Yahoo! after several years of contribution to its engineering team. This comes at a time when several star engineers have left Yahoo! in the recent past.

Although it is still in clinical trials, it is indeed an interesting breakthrough as it can pave the way for curing more then 40 million people from this deadly virus.

This story talks about some of the worst currencies in the world. All the countries listed are either under seige or they are severed from the “international society” because of their policies. No takeaways from this story butĀ interesting for a casual read

This one is… don’t know what to say. I really wonder what point is being driven through that montage. I know the freethinkers out there are going to jump back and say, “hey this is freedom of expression” but honestly, it does not evoke any emotions in me. Maybe it does for you.
